I had the pleasure of attending the launch of the Vivienne Westwood Loves Collection, and I sure did fall in love. Vivienne Westwood pulled together some of her favourite heritage brands to create a fabulous British capsule collection. Lock & Co Hatters, a heritage millinery brand established in 1676 produced the hats, which ranged from flap caps to voyager hats. Globe Trotter founded in 1897 produced a luggage range for the collection. My favourite piece was the blue and cream leather luggage bag, which featured leather handles and tartan lining. Pantherella, makers of fine, hand linked, English socks since 1937 collaborated with Vivienne Westwood to design some colourful and authentic styles. Johnstons of Elgin, renowned for producing fine cashmere pieces since 1797 also teamed up with Vivienne Westwood. The range reinvented classic cashmere cardigans, crew necks and lounge pants. Acclaimed for producing the Duffle coat, Gloverall is a heritage brand established in 1954. They finished off the collection very nicely with their range of outerwear. This collection is definitely one to check out if you’re into your traditional brands, I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do.
