I’ve had a fun packed week visiting Japan for Tokyo Fashion Week. I thoroughly enjoy travelling as I love seeing different parts of the world. For me, Japan is an absolutely incredible city. It was everything I expected and more, I would class it as one of my favourite cities. I’ve always been a fan of Japanese fashion, so I was honoured at the opportunity to attend fashion week out there. The majority of the catwalk shows were held in Hikarie Center in Shibuya although this time I was invited down to the Tae Ashida show, which was held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo. It was a swanky five star hotel in a such a grand location. To top off the visit the Tae Ashida collection was classy with Rich Autumnal tones, a range of materials flowed throughout the collection, leathers, wool, dresses with panelled luxury fur, accompanied with cropped blazers and outerwear pieces, knee high detachable leather boots, it was truly enjoyable for sure. After the show we had the chance to meet Tae Ashida in the flesh, whom is fashion royalty in Japan, the daughter of Jun Ashida who is a recognised designer in Japan, we finished off the day talking to her about the future of Japanese fashion.
